I know this isn't google but I tried that and couldn't find shite. I am racking my brain to remember the name of an old electronics store in mobile in the 90's. The building and signage was teal colored and it was a rival of sorts to circuit city. I assume it was a chain. Anybody got any ideas?

And Circuit City were owned by the same company (at one point Carlos Slim was the owner) - and were folded into Tigerdirect.
True story.

Yeah it wasn't compusa. I don't think we ever had one. This place was the only competition to circuit city before Best Buy. I don't know why this shite is bothering me so much.

Okay update if anyone cares. I figured it out. The store was called CAMPO.

I was going to suggest Campo, A1, or Sound Trek

It was killing me lol. I remember my parents bought a sweet fricking packard bell from there. I used to rule the prodigy chat rooms.

Sound Trek, the big audio store in Metairie in the '70's and early 80's, was owned by Tony Campo (the Appliance Giant!).
Metairie also had Stereo Village which carried a higher end of gear.

Campo's is the only store in thinking of that had stereos and stuff like circuit city with real in the color scheme. They didn't sell Cd's or anything, I don't think. I'm not sure if this was anything more than a Baton Rouge store either.
Whoops just saw this was an updated thread.

Tandy Corp., acknowledging its Incredible Universe electronics outlets have become a financial black hole, will dispose of the 17-store chain and close 19 of its 113 Computer City superstores in a $170 million restructuring.
Computer City has been slower than its rival CompUSA Inc. to adjust to a drop in first-time computer buyers

I wish I had pictures of the interior of Campo (MAY have been an A1, but almost certain it was Campo) on Vets around David Drive. The interior was SUPER late 80's. They had purple and pink neon lights surrounding a ton of the store.
