Ring vs Simplisafe?

Moved into a new place and looking for an alarm system. The house already has ADT, but I'm not signing a 3yr contract.
Will need 3 door sensors, 1 indoor camera, door bell camera, and 1 outdoor camera. (already have a ring indoor cam)
I was enticed by Simplisafes black friday deal of 65% off equipment, however, it looks like you don't get most of the remote/app features unless you sign up for their monitoring service. Also, reviews say their doorbell camera is pretty terrible.
It looks like Ring is more expensive up front, but basically unlocked, whereas you get cheaper equipment from simplisafe, but have to pay to get the features.
Anyone have one or the other? Recommendations?

between the two I would go with ring. also take a look at Eufy. unlocked and equipment is cheaper.

I just purchased the Simplisafe alarm system just for the purpose of having a system that will siren when a door is opened while we are sleeping. I do not plan on using it to monitor my home.

I went with ring bc already had the doorbell. Impressed enough with it that I'm getting my parents some ring alarm stuff to replace their old alarm system. If you already have a ring cam then I'd go with ring.

I would recommend Ring, the SimpliSafe adhesives on the door monitors specifically failed pretty regularly.
Would get alarms going off in the middle of the night because a sensor had fallen off, not a great feeling trying to figure out if it was real or your shite product failed again

Eufy all day.
No monthly fees for storage of recording.
Spend an extra 150 on the home base station and you'll get all the storage you need.

Might want to consider Abode as well. Has a monitoring package, and has smart home automations.

We did Blue by ADT. Most of the ADT benefits, no contract, cheaper, easy setup yourself. It was a better package and monitoring than Simpli Safe, at the time at least.

Wyze is also an inexpensive option. Sensors are much smaller than the Ring sensors I put up in my old house (Disclosure, the Ring installation occurred 7 years ago, so they may have gotten smaller.)

Home base and 2 cams are $150 right now. Homebase by itself is $100. I am making the switch from Ring.

Link to what y’all are mentioning? All I see is setups that are like 5-800.

I have had the simplisafe system for a few years. Wife insists on something monitored, so we have all of the features. I like the system, works great, response time is pretty good. With that said, if I had to redo it now, I would choose Ring over Simplisafe. Already have ring doorbells & floodlights and would prefer to have everything under 1 app.
Ring alarm system wasn't a thing we I switched from ADT. Was not impressed with SimpliSafe's cameras and doorbells when I signed up with them.
For the poster with the comment about the contacts falling. It was an issue for me as well, but I had similar issues with ADT's contacts so already has a roll of double-sided tape that I replaced all the contacts with.

I've had Simplisafe since 2016. I went from their v2 system to v3 a couple years back....I do the monitoring and it's been very good for us.

Eufy or Blink are the best subscription-free options.

Imagine giving amazing video and audio of your home. Do they pay you monthly for that access?
