Samsung smart remote with att U-verse question

Ok I hope I explain this correctly and it makes sense. We just got a new Samsung Q7 QLED tv that comes with the smart remote. It’s a universal remote that controls everything and it works perfectly, except for controlling channels with repeating #s.
So for example in U-verse, if I punch in 1602 (Espn) it works perfectly. However if I punch in 1003 (local channel), it only does 103 (since the 0s repeat).
Does that make any sense or has anyone else ever had this issue?
FWIW, if I grab the att U-verse remote and punch it in, it works fine. Just was trying to use the universal remote as a one stop shop.

Ironically the same issue occurs if I use the harmony ultimate one remote.

Which Samsung remote are you using? I assume it's the silver metal one if you have a Q7 like I do. Is yours curved?
Anyway, I just tried tuning to channel 1003 and it worked perfectly fine. Granted, I do have Cox, but we're operating the same operating system on our Samsungs. I changed the way I imputed the channel number. First saying "One zero zero three" and then "1,003". Both worked fine.

It’s the silver straight remote. Ok so it’s definitely ATTs receivers then. When I speak into the Samsung remote and say 1-0-0-3 or 1,003, I only get 103. If I do 1-6-0-2 or 1,602, it’ll work just fine.
That kinda blows.

Nope, never did and it sucked. It has SOMETHING to do with the type of ATT UVerse Receiver you have but that's all I ever could find out.
