Speaker Wire run options; 1st floor room of two story house with obstacles

I want to wall mount some speakers in the corners of this room. However, no matter what side of these french doors I put the subwoofer on, I'm going to have to get the wire past these doors/windows to the other side. I've been reading that if you have a slab and a two story house, there aren't many options to work with on the 1st floor. Is it possible I do have space in my ceiling? I sure do have plenty of can/recess lighting, celling fan and AC vent that you'd think there would be space.
If you guessed my wife doesn't want wires showing you guessed correctly, but if I had pics I could show of those options that alleviated concerns of aesthetics I'd appreciate y'all sharing those as well.
Thanks!

Floor speakers? Run it along the baseboard and around the door casing. Or run it through/under/out and around the door threshold.
Install crown molding and run it behind the crown.
If the ceiling joists run parallel to that wall, run it along the ceiling joists.
I guess a wireless sub is out of the question? I had one, it was okay but I didn’t care for it. It seemed to always “pop” and was very annoying. But would it be an option for you? Would still need a power source near the sub.

The sub will be wireless to the sound bar but wired to the rears.
Exposed wires are not acceptable to the wife (cord in photo notwithstanding
)
Sure seems like I'm just gonna have to poke holes and look. I just wanted to avoid poking around if it was a known impossibility.
Weirdly enough this house kinda looks better without crown molding. I saw that option but the decision not to install it was made months ago.
I'll see if my stud finder can find the joist direction. Thanks.

Pulling your quarter round and door moulding would be wayyyyyyy easier.

Gotcha. You think I can hide the cable (maybe even flat type) successfully? Reached out to a sound guy, and if I wanted to hide it in the wall/ceiling it would probably be very expensive with all the drilling. I assume by "pulling" you mean take it off, run wire and then place back over it?
I'm aware of Sonos, but what other systems do I have options for with the bluetooth rears if I go that direction? I'm under the impression those will still need power which creates a cord that has to be hidden somewhere.
I'd be for 5.1.2 or 5.1.4. Probably getting into the big bucks.
FYI I wanted to tie this into a new Nvidia Shield that I haven't purchased yet. I was looking at the new Vizio Atmos system to dip my toe in the water since it had good reviews and had Google/Android consistency with TV. But can certainly go up in budget if required.
Set up was envisioned as Shield to sound bar with 4k HDR pass through with Atmos since TV doesn't have it. Frustrated as I thought I was set until all the aesthetic demands.
ETA: LG SK9y looks with the SPK8 rears looks like it suffers the same "problem" as the Vizio connecting to a small transformer by wire.

Tear out the dry wall and install the wiring within the walls. When your wife complains or questions your sanity, inform her that you are also removing all electrical outlets that are not hidden by some other means since those obviously will result in an exposed wire when used.
BTW, your wife's requirements are very familiar to me.

Another question.
Is there some inherent preference between running RCA wire in the wall vs speaker wire? I understand speaker wire can be augmented at the ends to be RCA, but not sure about the reverse. Don't want to have to rip things out again if I don't have to. Right now I'd be trying to hide RCA cables.
Second, if my RCA cable from the subwoofer is longer for one rear speaker than the other, will that cause any delay issues that are noticeable?
Thanks again,

A lot of recessed light cans can be dropped(inner can) to see how joists are running. If you have a line of recess running parallel to the french doors and not too far off the wall it could be a chase. Depending on the age of the house you'll probably have at least 1 joist brace to deal with.
Good luck.
Good luck.

Thanks.
Ya, there are two lights about 3.5 feet from the wall and running parallel with it. Maybe a path there.
No inherent issues with just RCA being ran? Seems like all that will do is limit where the sub can go if I ever change things out.

Sorry.
If the recess are anywhere near where you could deal with the speakers then it might help. You can blind drill holes but it scares the bejeezus out of me.
Don't you have to get the wires from a source first? AV guys do all that stuff.

The system I'm buying (or not buying) has a wireless sub with RCA wired rears. It is these RCA cables running from the sub to the rears that I'm hiding.

So all you have to do is connect the rears, pop a recess and check it out.
IF you do blind drill a joist to move them more toward the door, I'd drill as low as you can. Generally wires and such are run more toward the top or center of a joist.

Gracias.
I think its time to just go for it one way or the other. Appreciate the input.
