Switching Back to Verizon from T-Mobile

I moved from Verizon to T-Mobile last summer. When I did I bought a few phones with T-Mobile.
Can I switch back to Verizon without having some sort of penalty/problem being it has been less than a year with T-Mobile?
T-Mobile was o.k. in decent sized towns, but you will not have service is some places that I find absolutely unacceptable.

You may have to tweak the phones (unlock) to get them to work on Verizon's network - or depending on model, they may not work at all. So, that's issue Number 1.
And, your contract with T-Mobile is your contract with T-Mobile. It may specify a penalty or charge to terminate earlier than the term.
So, I guess the answer is - it all depends.

T-Mobile has no contracts. But if you took a payment plan on T-Mobile cell phones. You will have to pay off the full amount owed when cancelling

Have you looked at Google Fi?

First time I've heard of it. Coverage looks similar to what T-Mobile has in my area. I like the concept though.

Why would you switch to TMobile in the first place without knowing your coverage?
ETA: Since you are going to be in several hundred bucks regardless of what you do (unless you hold static) then might I suggest you take a look at installing a we boost to solve your problem in the gap of time that it will take TMobile to get towers online in more rural areas.

Because T-Mobile is full of crap on their coverage map.

Fair enough. I did the same thing and I will say that if you zoom in on their map, like drill down on it in specific areas, it does show you how weak the coverage is in reality. It will show on the base map as like "red" for coverage, but when you actually zoom in it will break down into pink and purple which means much weaker signal. I thought it was pretty deceptive too, but it is what it is.

The google fi love in here greatfly confuses me. There are probably 20 other MVNO carriers I would use before considering for both coverage and price
