At Costco.
What’s the difference in LED and QLED?
Anything to warrant this jump in price?
LED $849
QLED $1,399

They are both lower end TVs, I don’t think it’s worth the price jump.
Just check to see the inputs on that cheaper one. That’s a Costco model number and sometimes they strip off certain features like number of inputs, etc.

It's more than just that. There are software and processor differences as well. The T series is very entry level. Not bad, but it's missing a handful of perks that ever the 6 series Q TVs have.
That being said, the T series is not a bad TV. It's actually pretty great for the price. I work for a Samsung subsidiary and have a higher end Q series in out theater room and living rooms, but have the T series in the bedrooms, and they are just fine.

Both of these are edge lit tv’s (local dimming/ full array is better). If you’re in a bright room, the QLED may be better. Other than peak brightness, they should be comparable

You can compare them side by side on rtings.com too: LINK

Overall, the Samsung Q60/Q60T QLED is much better than the Samsung TU7000. The Q60T has a higher contrast ratio to deliver deeper blacks, it gets brighter, and can display a wide color gamut with better color accuracy. However, the TU7000 has faster response time, and its superior gradient handling results in less banding.

I'm considering going one of these.
LG - 75" Class NanoCell 90 Series
75NANO90UNA
Samsung - 75" Class Q70T Series
QN75Q70TAFXZA
I've seen the LG in person and it looked fantastic. Haven't seen the Samsung, but keep reading that blacks are way better than the LG. Anyone have any thoughts on these?

My 75" Q80R is getting delivered next Friday, and I was curious if any of you baws have or would consider making the delivery guy wait for you to partially unbox and plug it in before accepting delivery. Probably unconventional but I'm thinking about the pain in the arse too return it if something is off or screen is cracked or whatever.

Howdy fellas. New TV was delivered and has been up for a few days now. I have been researching and messing with the settings like crazy trying to get the look I'm searching for, and don't think I've totally nailed it yet. That includes trying to have the right component doing the upscaling to 4k (cable box, AVR, or TV)...right now I've got the cable box set at at 1080p, but I don't even know if it matters. Someone said it was better than having the box set at 4k so I'm trying it.
Overall, some significant variability in picture quality from channel to channel, to be expected. Had some really bad blurring issues while watching a football game, and do have some dirty screen effect in the corners, which I knew might happen. 4k looks really good, but I think I still need to mess with it.
Here's what I was coming from...8 year old Samsung plasma which is fricking awesome handling black, fast movement, etc.
Upgraded 75" Q80R....4K, Haunting of Blythe Manor. Some letterboxing above and below, but still a decent size comparison (though the 58" picture is zoomed in a bit)

I have a 75" Q80 as well, one thing I noticed is it seems like the picture gets better with a little mileage on it. Great TV and looks great in my living room
