Is there a good Sony for this price?
Have no idea what to look for. A friend is selling a brand new Hisense 65 in R6 series for $400 ($550 in store). Should I go with that or is there a better option?
Budget ~ $900

In that budget, it better be going in a dark room. Otherwise you probably won’t be happy

No Sonys at that size under 700. Sony would start around 1000. For 700 In would go with Samsung 7 Series (I have one) or an LG 7000. Or bump up a bit to the Samsung Q70 for $1099 or a Sony Bravia.

You’re looking for something cheap at Costco or Walmart.

This…I have one too and it is a damn fine tv.
ETA: check the open-box listings at your local Best Buy…there are typically some good deals there.

Its a solid mid range set. I do really like the user interface and the wifi connection has never given me an issue. The picture is about average.

Last year the 65” Sony 900H/ 90CH TVs went on sale for $999 around mid November right before Black Friday. That was a very solid Full Array LCD for the price. I’m hoping this year’s model does the same

I got a Sony 70" from Target for $498 about 3 months ago. It was in the back of the TV section and was on clearance.
