Yamaha TSR-700 A/V receiver from Costco. Reports?

I need a second receiver (for master bedroom) and am looking at the Yamaha TSR-700 7.1 ch. unit from Costco. A pretty darn good member deal at $399.
I already own a Yamaha Aventage RA-3050 so I know about Yamaha sound. But I'd like to hear from someone who actually bought this model from Costco. Does it perform and sound nice? Not expecting Aventage level but curious about any glitches of failures.
Thanks for the feedback.

I’ve had mine since launch, no issues at all. CEC is rock solid, packs a punch. Only thing is depending on what’s playing on tv as linked below, the on screen overlay doesn’t always come up so can’t always see the volume level on screen when adjusting. Could be a problem if you hide it in a cabinet/closet and can’t see the display on the unit.
Also for some reason can’t get it to play music in 2.1 outside of casting Spotify direct. Checks all my boxes and can’t be beat for $400

Thank you. That helps.
Display not a problem, unit would be in full view in a rack, plus I don’t listen to music except in 5.1 and up.
Currently using an older Yamaha with no HDMI inputs and it’s getting unwieldy and too many wires.

be sure to do all the firmware updates before doing the full setup. Once the firmware updates are done, do a factory reset and then do the full setup process.
That AVR is feature packed and very nice. It has been a bit buggy but I think they have ironed out most of the issues now. I think 8k and 4k@120hz are the only remaining buggy areas.

I've had mine for a few months without any issues. I second the firmware update comment above and all of the bugs from the initial release seem to have been worked out.
This sums up my reasoning for purchasing it and I have had no complaints:

To expand on this I believe almost all AVR manufacturers are having the 8k/4k@120 issues due to some chipset issue. it isn't a knock on Yamaha. They make great stuff.

How do you perform a factory reset. TIA
