Been a loyal cox customer for years, but they are rally pissing me off. While I was on hold with customer service, I was comparing YouTube tv, vs Hulu plus live.
Any insight on pros and cons of either of these?
They’re both way cheaper that what I’m paying cox. Plus I have a Hulu account anyway.

They are very similar in terms of channel/offerings.
Hulu + Live TV of course comes with Hulu itself. You can also bundle Hulu with Disney+ and Max or ESPN+.
Either is definitely better options than Cox Cable.

When I last looked, I chose Hulu Live TV over YT TV because Hulu Live TV offered a channel or two that YT TV did not.
The guide / menu system on YT TV is better if that matters to you, but overall, I have been pleased with Hulu LIve TV and I have had it for a couple of years now.
Hulu Live TV has increased their price considerably. I am paying $82 per month, and I want to say I started out around $55 to $60 per month.

I don’t know what Hulu has now but when I originally had to make the same decision several years ago, I chose YTTV because it was the only one that offered live local channels. I’ve been pretty happy with YTTV.

Hulu + Live TV has local channels as well.

IMO, it really comes down to which channels do you prefer. They probably have 80-90% of the same channels, but there are always those 1-2 stations you really like. I chose YTTV over Hulu (had both) for the format, unlimited streaming, and a few channels that Hulu did not have at the time (they do now). Hulu's advantage to me was the streaming library, but I get that through my Verizon account, so this combo gave me the best of both worlds (except I have to stream with commercials)

If you want to travel and take your TV with you get YTTV. If you want to share the account and split costs get YTTV.
Those are the only real differentiators in YTTV favor.

My sister (no pics) got the Hulu no ads with Disney+ and ESPN+ deal, put it on her AMEX Gold because AMEX Gold will pay $20/month towards that bundle, which I believe makes the package "free", even though you're paying $325/year for the card. On top of all the other cashback benefits of the card, it pays itself pack if you already planned on making those specific purchases. This could be something to consider, especially if any of your credit cards offer such a deal.
If you really want local channels that bad, have you considered getting a digital antenna? We bought one so that we could watch the Bachelor/Bachelorette on ABC live without needing to log into an ABC account. Eventually we just got busy with life and only watch when it's streamed on Hulu, but the digital antenna pretty much got any channel we would need locally.

Hulu/Live TV DVR function is garbage. Forces you to watch ads.
YTTV does not. I had both before going back to YTTV recently.

Have been on YTTV since PSVUE went away. Closest thing to cable imo

I believe all the streaming services offer free trial runs, or used to, anyway. Download the apps and try them for a week. You may find that you really prefer the features or setup of one product over the other.
I demoed Sling, YTTV and Hulu+ a few years back, and went with YTTV, but all had their plusses and Minuses.
I have Bluestream, now and really like it. One of the things I like is that the menu allows me to scroll backwards and watch any show within the last 4 days - no DVR needed. They have a DVR feature as well, but I rarely use it. Now, I almost always turn shows on at least 15 minutes after they start so I have a buffer and can fast forward through the commercials.

Has Hulu with Live TV resolved their “location” locking issues with internet services such as TMobile home internet?

most likely not as Tmobile uses CGNAT for IPv4 and Hulu probably isn't using IPv6 yet.

I prefer YTTV for sports, the interface is more user friendly and the dvr option is better.

If you’re comparing you may want to throw in FuboTV as well.

I ditched DirectTv for YTT. Been nearly 2 years. Zero issues. Love the sports interface.

This is why I cancelled Hulu. It was such a royal pain to keep service on without a few phone calls a month.
