I'll be flying out of MSY for a 4 week trip and want to avoid the giant parking fee. Are there any reliable ways to get between SE Baton Rouge and the New Orleans airport?

You might be better off renting a car for the day in Baton Rouge and drop it off at the airport; same for return.

I'm not sure how much long term parking is at the airport (I'd assume 15-20$/day) but I know they have US parking that has a shuttle. They usually do discounts and give good rates for first time users. It's 240$ for a month/covered and 210$/uncovered. So about 7-9$ /day US Parking

I would just do a cost comparison and see if renting or even ubering would be worth it. You might save money in the US Parking overall...

It might cost more to Uber than to just find the cheapest long term parking option and shuttle over. I’m not sure but def do a cost comparison first like previous poster said.

Last time we tried that, Uber didn't show - even though we scheduled pickup the prior day. No drivers at 4am. Not viable to count on them in our market.

Park at MSY - $20 a day
Park at US Park - $7 dollars a day
Uber - $75-100 each way
Have a friend drive you

FYI. You cannot schedule an Uber ahead of time. You are just scheduling the request ahead of time. It’s no different than if you made the request at the scheduled time.

It doesn’t line the drive up ahead of time like many think it does.

I do this often for the airport and the driver's tell me they get it hours ahead of time and can request it. Not sure the truth now based on what you are saying.

If that is true then it’s somewhat new. It didn’t used to be like that.

Does Greyhound (or other) bus service still stop at MSY?

Nope. Try $14.95 per day.

You don’t know one friend or family member who likes you enough to drop you off?

Seriously - I'd even pay family/friends in that situation

Also for a trip that long - weigh the difference in price for connecting flight out of BTR vs parking anywhere re MSY if transport is that much of an issue

How willing are most uber drivers to take you from Baton Rouge to New Orleans? Doesn't really seem worth it for them when the trip back they aren't making anything

They really aren't happy about it. I've done that trip once each way this year, and in both cases, I've offered the driver extra cash to make the trip (which has worked).

BR to msy is just at an hour. I feel you’ll be paying really high Uber fee for this. Get someone to drive you, or do you have any friends that live in Kenner? It would be like a 10 min Uber ride from there if you can park your car at their house.
