Anyone ski Les Arcs in France or advise on the best Alps ski resorts?

Thinking about making the switch from Colorado to somewhere in the Alps next Mardi Gras.
It's cheaper the bring the family skiing out of the country.

I skied Chamonix in February. I loved it but the resort skiing wasn't the best. We went to St Gervais for a day and that was pretty damn good resort skiing

I’m clueless for the most part, but I had a guide last year from France and he said the snow in the US/ Utah was much better than Europe. He said generally Europe gets just 4-5 good snows a year so it was very up or down skiing, great with fresh snow but that’s few and far between.

Europe is more about the mountain experience then the skiing. If you want cheap awesome skiing, look at Canada.

I took my family to Les Arcs a few years ago and we’ll be going to Val d’Isere next season.
Les Arcs has a ton of terrain, lots of diversity from one area to the next. Throughout the area, amazing food for cheap compared to Colorado/Utah/California… frankly, everything is less expensive except the flights and I use points anyway.
I’ll be heading to Garmisch-Partenkirchen for Mardi Gras next year on a bit of a boys trip. They call it Fasching in Bavaria, and it’s a blast.
ETA - it’s easier and cheaper in the Alps. The snow is better in the Rockies, imo, but it’s easier and cheaper with the family in the Alps, except Switzerland, which is expensive. France, Austria, Italy, and Germany are wonderful.

Have done Kitzbuhel 2x. Would recommend. Easy trip down from Munich.

The Morzine area is like Chamonix lite. Much less expensive and not as schicki-micki. You can ski France and cross over by ski into Switzerland int he same resort.

Hit La Grave. It's raw, and wicked.
