Argentina - Ski Trip Questions

I'm looking at booking a trip next summer for a week in Argentina with a primary focus on skiing. I've been Googling a good bit, but I'm really struggling to find good information.
1. Ski town:
a. All options will require a connecting flight in Buenos Aires, so cutting down on the drive time from the airport would be a plus.
b. Kids are new to skiing, so we won't spend much time on anything but blues/greens, so we will spend our times mostly on greens/blues which cuts down on need for back country/challenging runs.
c. Overall feel
2. Off-Mountain activities:
a. Bars/restaurants/shopping/spa. We like good food and booze, so having solid options is a big plus.
b. We will have pre-teens with us as well, so for the days we don't hit the mountain it would be nice to have some options here.
3. On-Mountain Activities:
This isn't a huge deal for us, but again, a plus if available. Things like tubing/Snowmobiling/ice skating etc.
4. Lodging:
We would love to find a stand alone house. Ski-in/Out or short driving distance to lift. Any areas that seem to have more Air BnB type options? Site to find options? Air BnB doesn't appear to have much inventory from initial searching.
I just started researching, so any and all thoughts are welcome and this helped organize what I'm looking for.
Catedral Alta Patagonia seems to check some boxes so far.,

Good timing, they have been getting Nuked on this year.
I would say go to Chile instead.
Argentina has Bariloche and a bunch of smaller ski areas.
I believer Valle Nevado, Colorado, and Portillo in Chile offer a more conventional ski trip experience with big hotels/resorts and greater amenities.
Jealous you are going. Most of my summer skiing has been relegated to the Wasatch, Mt Hood and Whistler

I'm toying with that idea as well. Argentina looks like it is just going to be tough logistically.
Thanks!

You will be shocked by the amount of extraordinary eye candy all over the mountain
It is nothing anybody can describe, you have to experience it to understand the magnitude

I'm just curious if you are going to ski, or just going as a summer vacation?
Have you priced this out at all? Im curious about airfare and what not, it was almost $600 to fly to Park City now which puts it fairly easy to be cheaper to go to South America between the conversion, flights, and lodging.
I know absolutely nothing about their calendar as far as busy season, but American skiing pricing is based on our school calendars as much as snow and weather. Probably a good chance you can go during a peak ski time but lower price time.

Yes and yes. It would be a week to introduce kids to snowboarding or skiing. In my head, it makes sense due to the fact that we can make a trip to learn how to ski while the kids are out of school instead of the jam packed Christmas/New Years slots in the US.

I did some back of the napkin math. But, what is truly hanging me up at this point isn't the cost. It's the 9 hr flight from from the southern airport hubs with pre-teens and only a week to spend there.
Flights: I think I could RT the flights for 4 at about $2.5k and I could possibly use some points to cut that in half.
Lodging: It appears to be about half (probably more) of somewhere like Breck/Keystone and the lift tickets are about 33% less. This as well as food/booze is where I think you can truly get some monetary relief compared to the big Rocky resorts
Food/booze: Looks like it would be significantly cheaper than a ski-town resort. I'm thinking more than half the cost of a meal in the Rocky Mtn resorts.
Transportation: It requires a flight to the mountains from Buenos Aires as far as I can tell. The cost is low (less than $50/one way), but that's just added time from start to finish.
