Overwater bungalow in bora bora is my number one dream vacation. It will happen before I die.

I've been to all three. Bermuda is great but only has convenience as a plus. Remember Bermuda just took major hurricane damage.
Bora Bora was incredible and wins over Fiji unless you go to the Yasawa Islands which are ridiculous but remote.
If I had to choose one to return to it would be Bora Bora.

What do you mean Bermuda is great but only has convience as a plus? Regardless of distance to travel, how do you rank those 3?

I mean Bermuda is great but it's not an exotic location like the other two.
I'd rank them Bora Bora, then the islands I mentioned in Fiji and then Bermuda. If you're only talking about the main island for Fiji I'd reverse Bermuda and Fiji.
You have to consider the distance. A trip to Fiji is going to add a couple of days to the trip to make it worthwhile. Bora Bora is similar but is at least a 5 hour flight closer than Fiji.

Heading to Bermuda in Jan. Was a little surprised to see it will be in the 60s.
Anyone have any must dos while I'm there. Business meeting but at least one day with nothing to do.

Rent a scooter and tool around the island.

Same here. I'm hoping sooner rather than later but I will make it happen one day.

I guess I'm pretty luck in that regard. I'm in leadership of a work related association that took me to Vancouver, Austin, Toronto, and Naples, FL this year. Next year is Bermuda, SF/Napa, Montreal, and maybe Toronto. When I travel for this, I usually try to add in a day to relax:look around. I also travel to NYC, Boston, and San Juan for actual work fairly regularly.
As those who travel for work know, there are some downsides. plus, I have spent A LOT of time in Dothan, Pascagoula, Montgomery, Jackson, etc.

You can do this in the short term (and cheaper than French Polynesia) if you're in a hurry to experience this sooner than later. Playa del Carmen just opened a resort that offers this....I know it's not the same.
Palofitos overwater bungalows

I've never experienced it but I have slept on boats so pardon my ignorance, but what's so great about those huts over the water? I'd rather a place looking over the beach/ water personally with my own beach. Those hits have always looked very close together?
As I've gotten older, I really enjoy easy vacations. I certainly love to travel and the adventure, but it's hard for me to want to spend 20 hours each direction on a plane to sit on the beach and do nothing like I can plenty of places in the world. If you had a private jet, that's a different story.

Yes please!
Playa del Carmen is great in that it has beautiful beaches, is affordable, and is very easy to get to. Wonder how much those overwater bungalows are there?

Sunset cruises; eat at Bloody Mary's which has had tons of celebrities as guests; ride a bicycle around the island; do a day excursion to a tiny motu with a packed lunch and explore that little island with just you and your SO on it; take a jeep excursion up to the top of the mountain where you will get a 360 degree view of the island and the lagoon that defies description.
There's plenty more to do there.

It can take a day+ to travel to fiji or bora bora, but more exotic and and away from your life in the US if you want to disconnect
