Has anybody been there with young kids? Trying to decide if it’s worth the drive for a three day trip. Drive would be approximately six hours.

We went during thanksgiving. My daughter was 4 at the time. They really go all out with Christmas stuff.

There’s not a ton for 6 and under to do. She just liked having the cabin with a fire place. 8-12 would probably be the best ages. They can do most of the activities at that age. However, my daughter is now 6 and still talks about that trip. She talks about Disney world more fwiw.

Beautiful place. I have never stayed there but I have eaten dinner at the restaurant there several times during trips to Branson.

I'm thinking about doing the same, but with my teenagers. I can't decide if there's enough to do in the winter (for Mardi Gras break) or if we should wait until it's warmer (for Memorial Day weekend). If anyone can comment on winter versus summer activities, I'd appreciate it!

The winter up there is beautiful to this south Louisiana boy, but there isn't much to do. We walked a lot, horse back riding, play station area for the kids, checked out the different places on the property, went to Branson, Silver Dollar City, took the golf cart tour or the caves, and went to the Bass Pro in Springfield. That last one is damn near an all day trip with the aquarium. I played golf a few times. It's an awesome golf destination with 3 18 holes courses that are phenomenal and a 9 hole course that is top notch. There are a few Senior Tour events played there. The golf may still be shut down for the season around Mardi Gras Time.

The summer opens up the lake for water sports. You can bring your own boat if you wish. The pools are open.
