Meeting some friends for a show in mid-October.

Any recommendations on where to say?

Our only needs are a nice bar for after concert cocktails with a TV for late night football.

Merci beaucoup.

Not a lot of nearby bars or anything really from what I could tell. I went to see Panic last year and everyone just stayed in the cheap chain hotels nearby. That after show Waffle House scene sure was lit tho.

I just stayed in one of the many hotels in Flowood

No idea about bars, didn't really notice or find a single decent one around but I didn't really try

We drove to meet some friends there peak covid, since MS opened fairly quickly.

Go to the Gallows Bar. Not a place to party at, but a nice place to sit and have a drink and chat after.

I do believe they had TVs there

Same, not a ton in the area. There are some cabins nearby I heard recommended at Panic but not sure the name.

Sheraton in Flowood is probably the nicest within a reasonable distance. They have a rooftop bar and a lazy river. The bar closes at 11 o’clock though.

The Holiday Inn express in Pearl has a bar with a really good beer selection called the alumni house. I’m not sure what time it closes.

Dwight Yokum? The amphitheater is great and weather should be good. Be prepared to be disappointed on bars after concert. Will not be much open after midnight in that area.

Try the World Center for Birds of Prey. Great for all ages.

Yep.

I’m wondering if a place in Madison is too far.

Just want to unwind with friends in a fun place that can make a decent cocktail.

Skeptical of Flowood.

Grab a room at homewood suites in fondren or the residence inn at the district. Grab cocktails at the apothecary (speakeasy in the back of Brent’s drugs). They’re open until 1:00 on weekends
