Yes. Don't do it in Denver. That is all.

Rented from them at HOU last month...it was the night the derecho went through and did all the damage in the Houston area. I normally rent with National and have been spoiled by the ease of Emerald Aisle, so having to go into the office with tons of other folks who were delayed from the storm while the employees sloooooooowly assisted customers, I quickly found out that I shouldn't have been cheap and stayed with National. I ended up getting a 22 Charger with over 40k miles that was beat the hell up.

In general, I've always felt if you stuck with the big brands that have been around forever, you'll be fine. Discounted rate via Amazon Prime PLUS credit back towards Amazon purchases led me to stray. I undoubtedly caught them on a bad night, and on that trip, the savings didn't justify the slow service and poor quality vehicle.

Yep, never had an issue and use them most of the time when they cruise because they seem to have more locations near cruise terminals than any other with the best one way rates (picking up at an airport and dropping off at the cruise terminal and vice versa).

We switched to National just because of status reasons and an enormous discount I get through work but Budget was my go to for about 10 years.

In Charlotte last year I had to wait in line for over an hour.

I have used Budget several times over the last 5+ years. Never had an issue.

Enterprise has been good as well.

I was loyal to Hertz way back when but their prices have become insane.

Maybe I'm lucky because I've never had a horror story with a rental. My advice is no matter who you use- sign up for their free rewards program, and book ahead of time. It amazes me in 2024 to see people without a reservation waiting at a counter asking what is available.

I don't understand it either. These reward programs are free and all come with some benefits.

Man there is no way I would rent from them. Between the gas charges on electric cars and the people pulled over for cars reported stolen that were three rentals later... that's a pass. Something is wrong there and I'm not interested.

Well that's mistake number one; see the comments above. These membership programs are free and allow you to skip the counter at almost every airport.

I have used them many times and never had any issues. I use them and Avis (same company) the most.

Yep, the last 2 summers I rented a big SUV and drove to Tennessee and Missouri respectively. No issues. If you are in BR, I rented from the Seigen Lane location.
