Places to eat:
Nico's (highly recommend)
Rodney Scott BBQ
Okra Grill
Oak Steakhouse
Halls Chophouse (highly recommend)
The Boathouse
Millers All Day
Fig
Poogan's Porch (highly recommend for brunch)
This is a pretty good list but I'd put Lewis BBQ ahead of Rodney Scott. A few of my other favorite places for dinner:
- SNOB
- Vern's
- High Cotton
- 167 Raw
- Costa
Reservations are important but you can sometimes sneak in and grab a spot at the bar for these places.
IOP is our favorite beach but Folly is cool because it's got the downtown bars and restaurants. If you end up on Folly Chico Feo is a great vibe with really good food a little bit off Center St.
I would recommend doing the carriage tour and sunset harbor tour (we like the Palmetto Breeze that leaves out of Shem or the Carolina Belle) early in your trip. That will give you the lay of the land and you'll have the historical background to make the rest of the stay more interesting.
