Great Wolf Lodge pros and cons?

Looking into booking a trip this summer with the family at the Webster Great Wolf Lodge. What has your experience been with GWL? My kids are 10y 3y and 1y old. Is the breakfast buffet worth it? We will probably eat elsewhere for lunch and dinner. I know there are a lot of good restaurants in the Webster area

Sign up for their FB page and emails, then wait for the discount coupons to start coming.
We learned about this after running into someone we knew at the resort who payed half the room rate of what we payed.

Here's one on Groupon for 58% off, but it's the Grapevine location.
$130 a night compared to regular $300.

ETA: There's also a $30 per day resort fee

Our family went twice to the one in Grapevine before we found the Gaylord across the street. We all liked that so much better. Inside the Grapevine GWL smells like a petri dish. The kids don't care but the adults usually do.

Went to one a few months ago in Orange County, CA. With two 11 year olds and 4 year old.
The room was horrible, the indoor water park felt like a Petri dish sauna punctuated by the smells of overpriced French fries and fatness. At various times, they would close a lazy river or pool due to excretion of vomit or worse.
I told my girlfriend never ever again.
Good luck. So gross.

We’ve been to the Gaylord up there a few times and enjoyed it. There is also zero shortage of other places to eat nearby. The Lego “museum” and an aquarium nearby.

I suspect at that age they will have a ball and yall will have a memory that will last forever. About 13 not so much but 10 is perfect and 1 and 3 will pretty much be happy doing anything.
Breakfast without leaving the hotel is a must for me.....I do not care what it costs and aren't particularly picky about quality LOL. The best I remember their breakfast buffet was acceptable.
I do remember they had about as good a $7 bloody mary as you could ask for (this was the grapevine location about 10? years ago). Well brand vodka but they had about 6 slices of bacon, 3-4 shrimp, several pieces of okra and a bunch of olives in a bloody mary that was about 32 ounces for $7. I thought for certain they had made a mistake and told the waitress...she said it was the right price, that parents had to have something to make it through the day LOL. It was a meal in and of itself.

We’ve been to the Dallas & GA locations and had positive experiences, nothing gross in rooms or water parks. Kids had more fun there than Disney and you can’t beat the cost. Food is average, drinks not as expensive as you would think. If you go into it with the right mindset, you’ll have a good time.
