Is Ybor City safe?

Tampa resident here. I’m in Ybor almost daily as my biz is right outside the area.

In short; Ybor City is generally safe. I’ll qualify that by saying that all bets are off after midnight.

The issue is young people. The shooting in October ended up being almost entirely under the age of 20. They aren’t allowed into many of the spots and make trouble.

They also tend to accumulate on the western side. So the area nearest the Columbia, etc is better off.

If legitimately concerned. Check out the Armature Works or Water Street areas.
