Looking at going to isla mujeres in December and was curious about service from the island to the Cancun airport. Most of the return flights I’m looking at are fairly early in the morning. Anyone have experience with this? Would I need to ferry back over the night before to Cancun to ensure I make my flight home?

Google says your first ferry is at 9 am which is why we always fly home in the afternoon. Enjoy Isla!

Ferries should run earlier than 9. I thought maybe started at 6AM?

Look into Carm. They will bring you to and from and provide ferry tickets. They'll tell you what ferry to be on or if the flight is too early

The one time I had an early flight I got a hotel in Cancun. I usually fly in the afternoon.
It takes about an hour to get from Isla to the airport with car/ taxi service.

We always use Isla Fun Tours for all private transportation to and from the island. Not the cheapest but they are always on time and you get what you pay for.
