We're looking to go there sometime in January for a Bachelor party with around 12 guys. Any recommendations of places to stay or things to do? Things not to do?

I'll be going to Costa Rica and staying closer to Manuel Antonio (more of a couples area) than Jaco (about an hour apart), but in the same general area. I'll let you know.

From my understanding, Jaco is definitely a big time party town. There's a casino in the northwest beach area thats really popular and supposed to on the wilder side.

word is there is a lodging option owned by a TX A+M alum that is next door to the Casino. And word also is that you don't wait in line at said Casino but the line forms at your gate. Quite the set up for a bachelor party in the filither side.

was in jaco last labor day weekend taking a recently divorced friend on a bounce back trip ... not the most idyllic place in the country but fun for a long weekend. They have a couple of decent restaurants, a small brewery and a sports bar for football. Annnnnnnd loads of coke and skanks.

We're looking for a beach, definitely places to party. Possibly a fishing trip, four wheel excursion, snorkeling. I was in Costa Rica last July and we stayed at an all inclusive for a wedding. We were in Papagayo Bay and only had one day to really do anything.

It will be twelve 28 year old's, that like to party, on a bachelor party.

Vista Guapa has surf lessons. They are very basic but fun.

Every time I’m in Jaco I see the bachelor parties. I have family living in Los Suenos 2 miles north of Jaco. Jaco is a neat place. As someone else said Manuel National is nice as well. Jaco is suited for your trip motto thou. It’s not too hard to spot. Bring cash bc they can probably provide everything y’all want. Stay out of trouble.

Jaco and Manuel Antonio are vastly different. For your expectations, Jaco will fit the bill. Check out the beer house (small, but has some good brews). Hit up taco joint for cheap good burritos. The Greem Room Cafe had live music and bunch of good beers. Plenty fishing out of Los Suenos, but I went from MA (we stayed there longer and enjoyed much more). Can't help with the "other" things.

I see you’re responding to me instead of the OP.

To be clear that’s not what I’m looking for. I’m going with my wife to MA.

I've only been once, saddled with a girlfriend in the bottom of the ninth on that relationship, mucho regrets. All the single dudes in our group were banging Tica hookers every night.

And the surf instructor provided the entire group with unlimited cocaine.

It was too many years ago for me to offer any specifics, but should be a solid place for a bachelor party.

And if locals are not your thing there will be loads of backpacker chicks looking to "find themselves" bouncing on your cack.
