We will be staying in Varrenna for three days the first week of June. Any must do restaurants or bars you recommend? We will have our 12 yr old picky eater with us, although she did learn last year in Italy to eat plain pizza with olive oil and cheese

il gatto nero had good food and a beautiful view. It’s on the fancier side, so a little pricey. Other than that, pretty much every little restaurant we went to was very reasonably priced and everything we ate was fantastic.

Following this as well. Staying in Bellagio a little before that so will pass along any spots to hit or avoid.

We will be in Varenna for 5 days in mid May and have reservations for a number of restaurants. I will try to remember to report back once we return.

Went to como last year. Rode the really old ferry all around. That was amazing. A 100 year old steam ship. Had a great meal in Bellagio after walking around a bit. Lots of good places but it wasn't the best region for food. Perch and trout were common and good. I had perch a black truffle risotto. You'll find kid friendly options and pizza all over. Even in the smallest lake towns.
