Where are you coming from?
Little Rock gets a bad rap, but I like the city. Always had a good time in Little Rock, but then again, I go visit and hang with family.
Go as far West as you can.
Local Lime is one of my favorite US Mexican restaurants anywhere. Great salsa and great margaritas.
Pinnacle Mountain is a great place if you're outdoorsy and into running, hiking, or climbing.

Coming from Lafayette LA! Heard the hiking is great there! I really don’t know anyone up here lol just moved on a whim and will be working at the children’s hospital and trying to meet new people and have a fun/safe time!

I’ve always liked Little Rock. From the Heights west is probably where you will spend most of your time. Downtown has some really good restaurants, like Cache, Does and Flying Fish. Pinnacle Mountain is very nice. Three Rivers is great. LR is also close to some from lakes and rivers. Lake Ouachita, Lake Hamilton and Lake Catherine are nearby in the Hot Springs area. Greer’s Ferry Lake and the Little Red River are an hour away to the northeast in Heber Springs. The White and Buffalo Rivers both have good accommodations, fishing, floating and food choices.

Welcome! My activities these days are kid-focused, so instead I'll make restaurant recommendations.
SOMA (South Main)
Can't really go wrong with anything in this area, but personal favorites are El Sur, The Root, Raduno, and Loblolly
Downtown
Bruno's, Three Fold, Samantha's and Buenos Aires
Hillcrest
Ciao Baci, The Pantry, Hill Station, Kemuri, Oyster Bar and a good Saturday farmers market
WLR
Breckenridge is coming back with great restaurants in one complex - Deluca's, Mt. Fuji, The Root (second location opening soon). Also Table 28 (weird location but great restaurants with good happy hour)
Argenta
Brood and Barley, Flyway Brewing, and Capeo

Deluca’s Pizza started in Hot Springs and now has a Little Rock location. Have not been to the LR one, but the HS location serves my favorite pizza.
David Burger is a popular local chain with a solid rep. I’ve only been once, and it was good.
When baseball starts in April, catch a minor league game. The Arkansas Travelers are the AA affiliate of the Mariners. Pretty decent ball park right on the river in North LR, easily walkable from downtown LR via Hwy 70 bridge that has a protected and well lighted pedestrian section.
White Water Tavern is a somewhat famous dive bar that gets a lot of decent live acts of various genres. I’ve never been, but it’s on my list.

The Oyster Bar is my gf and my favorite date spot. Happy hour oysters from 3-5 on Saturdays. Although I think they just shut down last week for a few weeks for renovations.
Deluca's, as others have mentioned is great. I haven't been to the new LR location but the one in HS is fantastic. Dave Portnoy did a one bite pizza review there a couple years ago and gave it like an 8.5 or something.
Eat My Catfish is pretty good too. The owner is a great guy. His location at Breckenridge Village got demolished by a tornado a year or two back but he's back open now.
There's a new Top Golf location over off I-430 if you're into that.
Cantina Laredo is probably my favorite Mexican place. It's a bit higher end on the spectrum of Mexican food. I know the owner there and he's a great guy as well. Great margaritas. I always get the grilled steak fajita burrito and it's fantastic.
Baja Grill is another fantastic spot. I haven't been to the one in LR yet but the one in Benton is excellent.
Check out The Hall for live music. They're a small venue but always have something going on and usually pull some pretty solid acts. It's close to your work.
The Rail Yard is a cool spot too. Might be better when it gets a bit warmer. But they usually have a rotation of different food trucks. It's a cool place to just hang out, play baggo, bring your dog.
