Long Layover in Philadelphia, What to do?

I have a 7 hour layover in Philadelphia airport, is there landmarks or restaurants(cheese steaks) to visit in that short of a time frame?
Also, I have never been to Philly.

Philly airport is pretty close to downtown, so you could likely very easily get downtown and see some stuff with 7 hours to kill. I don't have any recs though. It's been 20 years since I was in Philly.

Take the train to see independence hall and the liberty bell then grab lunch in reading market

You can also take a walk through the historic Italian Market stretch along 9th street. About 1.2 miles on foot, 25-30 minute stroll. Fantes Kitchen Shop is on 9th between Carpenter & Kimball--if you like to cook, it is a wonderful place to browse.
Once you're at Fantes, you're 1/2 mile, 10 min walk from Geno's and Pat's for all your cheesesteak needs.

The train runs right from outside the airport doors into center city.
I agree with Reading Terminal Market and Independence Hall.

South street has a few shops that you can kill some time at as well. Liberty bell, independence hall, comcast building, art museum (rocky statue), phillies in town (?), etc. Plenty of options, but agree on taking the train

Old city has the mint, bell, constitution hall and center, and Franklin's grave

Mostly agree with everyone - take the train to Jefferson Station and walk a few blocks down Market to Independence Mall. Liberty Bell, Constitution Center, Franklin’s grave, Independence Hall and US Mint are all right there. Keep it simple and eat at the The Bourse next to the mall to manage your time better. Then grab an Uber back to the airport as the traffic back shouldn’t be too bad and it’s much faster than the train.

hit the barnes museum, stroll the river and row houses and grab lunch somewhere authentic in the area.
