Will be over there next week. Looking for a nice dinner.
I’ve googled but would like other opinions.

Thanks!

Thanks. Thinking R Bistro but I’ll check that out.

Cannot for the life of me find the name of the place in Fairhope where I had a good meal. Though I did look over the menu at R Bistro and will be trying that the next time I’m there.

I had a bad meal at Gambino’s. One of my party got food poisoning from there.

Have heard good things about Sunset Pointe.

Pretty sure there is/was a thread on this topic either here or on the F/D board.

Man, R. Bistro has become my favorite "nice" restaurant in Downtown Fairhope. Their steaks are as good as anywhere and they have an unreal app - BBQ crab claws. They are like NOLA BBQ shrimp, but using crab claws instead. Unreal1

Besides that, Camellia Cafe is great. (That's what most people will say is the best restaurant in Downtown Fairhope.

Sage is supposed to be excellent. I've never eaten there, but lately, there have been a bunch of movies being shot in Fairhope/Daphne and all of the celebrities always seem to eat here.

The Grand Hotel has stepped up it's game re: fine dining. If you are staying there, that is a good option.

Wash House is always great.

And, if you don't mind a 15 minutes car ride, Jesse's in Magnolia Springs is incredible.

ETA: Honorable mentions - Dumbwaiter and Thyme on Section. Also, if you want a more casual dining experience, check out The Miill (very kid friendly), McSherry's (not really kid friendly) or Bone and Barrel (semi kid friendly).

Thanks for the replies.
Went with R Bistro and it was hands down one of the best meals we’ve had when traveling.

Got the caramelized onion and bacon app, she got shrimp and grits, me the filet and ended with the triple chocolate mousse.

Food, service, atmosphere was all stellar. The food was so good even the bread that you can request at the beginning was some of the best bread I’ve ever had.

Amazing experience. It lived up to its Facebook reviews.

I'm there quite a bit and I've never been really impressed by their food. Especially at the rate they charge.

I'd vote for Wash House.

Gambino’s

It's still there close to the pier?

I used to ride across the bay to that place. Snuck my dates there in highschool
