Places to eat, things to do in Brandon, Ms

Traveling to Brandon, Ms next week for the Creed concert. I think we are staying in Pearl but just looking for suggestions of places to eat or things to do in those areas.

I'll be there as well staying at a friend's house in Brandon.
In the past I've had my kids there (and will this time too...) so light on more adult things to do
Went to eat at the Italian place on Dogwood by the "nicer" shopping area, it was decent. Most stuff around there are chain restaurants. Not a brewery to be found - would love to hear there is an option.
There is a Yard milkshake bar that I enjoyed

Nice concert venue. Got to see creed and 3 doors down in Birmingham. Creed sounded great.

I’ll be up there for Sturgill Simpson at the Brandon Ampitheatre on 10/4. What areas is best for a safe hotel? Flowood, Brandon etc…

Flowood Brandon and pearl are all fine for hotels.
For eating, there are all types of places on Lakeland in the dogwood area or you can go into Jackson and go to some nice restaurants such as Walkers, Char, or Lou's
