Question about Delta basic economy

You could get the last row like the poster above or all seats in main cabin are sold out and you get an exit row/economy plus. What's the flight number for atl-bos? Elite heavy route so guessing last row

But yes you're guaranteed to get on. If delta oversells the flight, they ask for volunteers before involuntary denied boarding. Also given covid a ton of people are booking tickets and cancelling last minute

Take a look at the seatmap in the delta app or try to book a ticket and view available seats. I see the last row and one before which means 9 seats in the back. I also see 19 seats up in the main cabin, comfort plus and exit rows so odds are decent. The flight is completely full though

My seat mate was 400+ lbs. You gotta hope that cute little blonde, these days you gotta add girl,coming down the aisle comes to you. I usually get the big boys and that is uncomfortable to say the least. I had a window seat. He had the aisle. They made us switch because people coming to the restroom couldn't open the door with his excess hanging out there

Not surprised about not being able to select seats so definitely go by the seatmap as if you were buying a new ticket to accurately show the available seats.

So delta still has 22 open seats that are not assigned to passengers including the last row, exit row, and comfort plus. There's probably still a bunch of people not checked in yet so that list will likely grow to 22 on the list/ 22 available. When you get to the gate in Atlanta, the tv monitors in the gate area will show your seats as the gate agent clears the list.

My seat assignment popped up in the app the minute I landed in Atlanta.
