That would all depend on what you are looking for in a beach. Party, quiet, crowded or not, scenery etc... way too many variables. My Favorite around those is Cape San Blas but I'm too old to go partying all night like I used to.

I rank them by the accommodations first. Can I rent a stand alone house...because that’s what my family wants.

This.
I used to go where we could get the best value. Then I was looking for the best beach/water.
I've gone to them all(except Panama City) because my kids have loved the family trip early each summer and maybe a quick fall getaway.
They all kind of suck if you go 4th of July week.

All the top Gulf Coast Beaches are in SW Florida, IMO.

Looking for beach with space, where it is not crowded and needs to be nice for young children

Navarre Beach fits this criteria, but there isn't much else to do there.

Rent a house on the bay side down Fort Morgan Road. Beach down at the end of Mobile St.
Just google ‘mobile st fort Morgan’ and follow it to the beach. It’s awesome down there.
Most of the Airbnb places in Ft Morgan will be houses...just check them out.
This is a close option.

The main problem with Destin, Orange Beach, and Gulf Shores is that those towns are slammed packed all summer long. I'd put Pensacola Beach at the top of the list.

If we are ranking just beach alone, not the accommodations, food, activities, etc. I would say start with Panama City Beach first and head west in that order.

I like St George Island over all of those places.
I also like Ft Morgan over all of those places.
What I'm saying is I don't like crowded, congested beach towns, like the ones you've listed. Though I haven't been to Pensacola Beach in ages, so maybe it's not that bad.

You should go... There aren't many high rise condos in Pensacola. Lots of beach houses. They have a trolley that rides around and takes you to the area where all the restaurants are.

I've been to all of them and IMO not that much difference. Some might have whiter sand. Last year I went to Dauphin Island and yeah it wasn't as picturesque but it was awesome. I loved the small town feel with no crowds.

Grayton Beach was where we used to go. It's tucked away, away from the main highway, and has enough restaurants to where you don't have to get in your car and go anywhere. You can walk down the beach to Seaside and go to concerts and events there.
You can rent a stand alone house on the beach, or a block or two inland if you want to save money (no major highways to cross to get to the beach). There are no dunes to go up and over while carrying all your beach stuff. If the surf is up and you're worried about small kids, there is a lake right there with a lagoon you can enter from the beach, where kids can look for crabs, fish, and stuff like that.

Water clarity generally goes from PCB West to Gulf Shores.
