The Sphere in Vegas — are there any “bad” sections to avoid?

Going in October and want to get tickets to their show, not too picky about having the perfect seat, but want to be conscious that I don’t have an obstructive view or some really shitty section.
Any advice appreciated

I've been researching this same topic for the last few days for the Postcards from Earth show, so this info may differ for an actual concert.
Below is a copy/paste from a couple sites, but almost all the info I've read agrees with this opinion.
The Director’s Seats tickets at Sphere tout that the very best seats in the house are in the middle of the venue in section 306. Section 306 is considered to be the best seats for The Sphere Experience as the view from here is like looking through the director’s lens.
The 200 and 300 levels offer the best of both worlds with an unobstructed view from floor to ceiling. The 400s, meanwhile, have the same sweeping views of the screen but are further away from the stage.
Even more granular, folks have identified section numbers ending in five, six, and seven of the 200, 300, and 400 levels as the best seats (i.e., 205, 206, 207, 305, 306, 307, 405, 406, or 407).
The seats are narrow and it gets pretty steep in the upper levels. If you’re prone to vertigo or uncomfortable walking along steep stairs, consider getting seats in the lower levels.

How does this compare to the upper deck in the Superdome? I've heard this about the Sphere but I can't imagine it could be steeper. Superdome upper felt we were sitting on a ladder

The 100’s have an overhang from around row 15 to 31 I think is where it stops.
I was on the floor for Phish and enjoyed being able to move around. I think most of the seats have great views if you can take the heights and vertigo in the higher levels.

Only bad seats in the house

I went to 5 Dead & Co shows at the Sphere and sat in all 4 seating sections (100, 200, 300 & 400's) except for the floor.
To be honest they are all good if you are near the center sections. All sections have advantages and disadvantages:
100 - close to the stage but have to look up to see the visuals on the screen
200 - Probably the best for a mix of both the stage, screen & sound
300 - great mix but the stage starts becomes tiny and you watch the band on the screen
400 - Amazing view of the screen and the sound seems full
The sound is unlike anything you have ever heard. My recommendation is just try to get in the center sections and based on you budget try to get to the 200 or 300's if possible. All seats in the center are good tbh
this pic is from 406 row 13 (low 400's)
This is from section 204 row 15 seat 15

Try to aim for seats in the lower or mid-level sections if you can. The view's usually better and less likely to be obstructed compared to the higher sections.

quote:There are really no obstructions in the Sphere except for the back of section 100. (like row 18 and back) I was never off to the far side on any of my shows, so I don't know what the view is from there, but virtually any seat in the middle will be good based on a budget. The Eagles tickets were really expensive the last time I looked, so budget may be a major factor for a concert.

I read that for Postcards from Earth it isn't always crowded so get s cheap seat and move down once the show starts

We’re not seeing a concert, we are just watching the default show they have there so I don’t know if being close to the stage would matter for us, would it?

quote:I heard that for Postcards just buy a seat in the 400's and move up. I did not see that show but I imagine any seat in the center would be good. However, only 10K of 18K seats have the haptic effect, so that is another reason to sit in the middle of whatever section you get.

If you are going for the LSU game, it looks like there will be a lot of seats available around that time. If it were me for that show, I would get a seat in 405 or 407 for $114 and enjoy.

I wanted to go too but after my research, I decided to skip while we are there for the lsu game. The show apparently is about 50 minutes for planet earth documentary for an experience like soarin at Disney. I’m just not cool spending 4-800$ depending on seat for 4 of us.

Try no to sit anywhere near Chinese people. They will talk through the whole fricking thing.

I don’t know about the daily show there but I do know that a concert there is very special. I saw U2 twice there. Once we sat in section 309. The band didn’t seem far away, the acoustics were great and the video playing with each song was very well done. It was the same on the floor. My choice would be the floor though. We were 20 feet at most from the band and had some space. The Eagles will be playing there in October. I’d spend the money for that show.

A concert I would spend the extra money but the lowest price for the worst seat was around 117$ a piece last time I checked for a 45 minute nat geo show. I’m sure the effects are awesome but not for that price

Well, our show for postcards of earth got canceled, but thank you everybody for the suggestions
U2 is in concert that weekend. I’m guessing they just wanted to clear out the auditorium for rehearsals and other shite.

Went there to see U2 earlier this year and sat in the 200 section...excellent view.

I went to Monza two weeks ago and bought general admission tickets. The view sucked. Hope that helps.

We recently went to Postcards from Earth & sat in section 307, row 8. View was fantastic. I think maybe a few rows higher in that section would've probably been absolutely perfect.
I don't think 200 level seats would be appealing for this show & 400 level view would've felt too high.
