Friend is getting married in May but i’m looking to make a 4 day weekend out of it. Any recs on fishing, boat rentals, restaurants, etc? Safe to swim?
We’ll have a car so not a big deal to get around. TIA

You can definitely rent a pontoon. Weekends are usually crowded, but really depends on when in May you’ll be there. Lots of coves to anchor and swim. Early May the water is still somewhat chilly though. Wouldn’t recommend any of the “restaurants” on the lake. Not many to begin with. You could visit the Blue Cat Lodge on the north end of the lake if you’re an Ozark fan (although the sign has been removed)

Henry’s Louisiana Kitchen in downtown Acworth.
Ate Track in downtown Cartersville.

It’s a big lake, so where you are will somewhat dictate recs.
If you are nearer Canton:
Reformation Brewery, Goin Coastal, Riverstone Corner Bistro, Community Burger, Fermented Wine Bar.

Downtown Acworth is really cool, Henry’s is a must. I have a friend that lives less than 10 minutes from the Lake Acworth and really good Crappie fishing and has a beach area. It’s an electric motor only lake I believe that feeds into Allatoona.

I live close to there.
As others have said, it's got a large footprint so where you stay will determine recommendations I'll make.
There are many coves that are good for swimming. Several boat rental options are also there.
When you know where you are staying, reach out and I'll elaborate further.
