Tortuga Outbreaker 45L or GoRuck GR3 for Single Bag Travel?

I’m leaning towards the Tortuga because of the ridiculous price of the GR3. Does anyone have any first hand experience with these bags or any of the other bags in this type of lineup Minaal, Aer, etc?

I looked at all of those. Out of those I'd probably go GR3, but I just don't like the molle webbing and they didn't have the smooth version when I was buying. I really like GoRuck but it's a little bit of a cult and I had no interest in patch collecting and whatnot. I almost pulled the trigger on a GR1 a month ago and ended up not doing it.
Ultimately went with Tom Bihn Aeronaut 45 for carryon. Usually gets higher marks than Tortuga/Minaal/Aer and has been "in use" a lot longer. So far so good. Tom Bihn is utilitarian without being military-style, and while I'm not keen on some of their stuff I prefer it over the Aer look.

I honestly am leaning towards the GR3 l, but when I can buy the 45L Outbreaker and 2 large and 4 medium Tortuga packing cubes for still less than the GR3 it has me thinking otherwise.

I know a friend with it, but I just want a legit backpack I honestly don’t care for the duffle aspect.
