United premier 1K upgrade

I had 1K status for all of 2023. Missed 2024 Ik status by 4000 PQP (points). I had 13K+, needed 18K. I had well over the PQF (flights) of 54.
United "offered" me 2024 IK status for only $7,293.00 or 834,700 miles. What a joke. Looks like it's back to platinum for 2024.

They also screwed us 1k people for 2024... Only gave 1500 PQP start this year instead of the 2500 from last year.
1k really isn't worth what it used to be. I gave back nearly 200 Plus Points because 1st is always sold out now.
I've actually switched back over to SW since its so damn easy to earn miles with them. Once you get to A list preffered, with the 100% bonus, you basically get a free flight every round trip you take.
ETA: This year will go for A list Preferred on SW and Platinum on United.

The "deals" they give to buy up are comical. I think mine was similar this year. It's hard to believe what sucker is actually buying up, but somebody must or they wouldn't do it.

Its no different than what Delta has done to their best customers. Airline status means shite these days.

I’m American Platinum Elite and in my mind it blows away the status I used to have with United (though I’m still silver). I’ve gotten complimentary upgrades on 6 of 9 flights this year. I’m loving it.
