What’s funny about it, specifically?

He was banned because they swallowed up dem rhetoric designed to paint opposition as a "Hitleresque threat to democracy". If they were really afraid of political rhetoric leading to rights violations, they wouldn't have literally used political rhetoric to infringe on rights. There were world leaders calling for genocide on that platform who were not permanently banned. The false right wing violence narrative is is just another example of the same illusory truth effect used to justify this banning.

Don’t bring real logical reasoning into the equation. The BamaBot can’t handle logic.

How Elon is circling the drain? How he has become an incel, neckbeard troll? How you all think he is smart and actually is doing something?

He’s an idiot

Oh really. There's nothing that's been 'revealed' so far that rises to anything but a private company trying to enforce standards.

Tells us it didn’t read the released thread without telling us.

I pray you aren’t in the medical field because you may be the most obtuse on this board…..which is saying something. Also as a business man that has been in management within Billion $ corporations, I can tell you that if you violate a written term of service of your company you stand to be fired because you open up the company to a slam dunk lawsuit.

You used “so”, I’m assuming you think that was responsive to my question to you.

So I’ll ask you, what relevance do his companies have to what occurred at Twitter in 2020 and early 2021?

Hint: this is rhetorical

They were stopping discussion of highly debated topics to try and steer one narrative.

And it shows they were pretty successful seeing you and bamas responses.

Twitter has never turned a profit and based upon the other releases today it’s shocking they were even a going concern. But I bet Elon fixes that. In regards to Tesla they are actually meeting their goals quite nicely and are in excellent position to be the major player in their market in years to come.

This and many of your other comments are so disingenuous. It’s what’s wrong with the current world today. There is right and wrong. This shouldn’t be based on your political team.

The people previously running Twitter made some bad decisions and it’s ok for you to say that. Donald Trump used language in his every day communication that was derogatory and disrespectful. As a sitting President, I expect better of him. See, you can criticize both sides and still be a part of the human race.

I agree. Which is why it's so sad (but not surprising) that the right continues to make false claims about this and other things.

They had no great options at that point, and they chose the least bad one of banning someone who had attempted a violent coup of the US government.

But those people making those decisions at a private company is in no way any sign of something malicious, or of any Constitutional rights being violated. Obviously.

See, we can both agree that facts matter more than right-wing feelings.

False claims about their own internal communications? It’s right in front of your face.

Did you even read the Twitter Files released? I’m guessing you didn’t.

The government, specifically the FBI, was colluding with Twitter to stifle wrongspeech. It’s in their own memos.

I think we can all agree you’re a disingenuous moron.

False conclusions drawn from a cherry-picked segment of some of their communications, yes. Nothing released yet rises beyond a company trying to honestly handle a very difficult situation. Content moderation can be messy.

Clearly you didn't read these 'files' as thoroughly as you think you did, if that's the conclusion you draw. Inciting a violent coup attempt isn't wrong speech, it's well within a private company's rights to not want to allow that sort of thing on its servers.

You can’t help yourself. I’m not a right-winger or a left winger. I’m an American.

Violent coup. Whatever.

I’ve read every word and every memo released so far. They admitted that Trump didn’t incite a violent insurrection nor did he violate their own guidelines and they banned the account of a sitting President anyways.

And The little commie inside of you approves. It’s no longer a private company issue when they are acting at the behest and in cahoots with the government.

A few people on the moderation team thought he might not have incited direct violence with his tweets. Others disagreed. The ones who disagreed were higher up, so they banned him.

Space X acts at the behest of and in cahoots with the government - is it a private company?

Besides, nothing Twitter did in January 2021 rises to that level anyway.
