I was on Submarine Duty in the 60's. (Cold War) There were two Chiefs on the Sub who were on Submarines in WW II. Chief Henson from Ky was Chief of the Boat. Outstanding man/Sailor.
Chief Kovac, Pennsylvania, was another, Master Chief Missile Technician. What a leader and inspiration. I'd serve anytime with those guys. Too bad they are deceased. I'd like to thank them again for their service and leadership for young sailors like me.
