Tough crowd tonight. Similar thing happened to me a couple of years ago. I was concerned enough about it that (with some effort) I located the owner and got confirmation that the dog had its shots.

Same thing happened to my dad. Dog bit him while he was on a jog and definitely broke the skin.
He didn’t need stitches but got a tetanus shot to be safe. The doctor told him it was unlikely but easy to administer. Said that the odds of getting rabies from a dog in a suburban neighborhood was almost zero.
