He’s Not Here, Might as Well, Foster’s (brunch in Durham), Guglhupf (same, both are maybe 8 miles away), and Top of the Hill are probably the places I’d recommend for fans in town for the game....

Please advise what your occupation is so I may forward you my resume and cover letter for future employment opportunities.
Thx,

But seriously, what do you? My work travel includes San Antonio, Indianapolis, and occasionally Cleveland and Pittsburgh.

Yeah the worst case scenario is you end up buying your own drinks at a popular college bar before the game....

re: Have we discussed the Houston teacher who got caught filming herself at the school?
Posted by Keys Open Doors on 5/31/24 at 11:47 am
I think Quanell is much more upset that the teacher is unattractive
I haven’t seen a SFW photo of the teacher so I have no clue what she looks like.
Also, Quanell sounds like a character Kenan Thompson would do on SNL....

re: Family kicked off of flight for making their own no peanut announcement.......
Posted by Keys Open Doors on 5/28/24 at 9:58 pm
How can someone be so allergic to peanuts that a guy 10 feet away eating peanuts could cause an injury to the other person?
This isn’t like the episode of Freaks and Geeks were the bully smears peanut butter and peanuts into the guy’s sandwich when he isn’t looking, and he almost dies.
This j...

re: “Tires” starring Shane Gillis out on Netflix May 23
Posted by Keys Open Doors on 5/28/24 at 10:48 am
He has a funny bit on a podcast where he talks about how he was invited to a Scout combine for top recruits in PA, WV, and Ohio.
Prior to the combine he had never been timed running a 40, his coach had just written 5.0 or 4.9 as his time.
Then he goes to the Scout event and one of the DBs at W...

I agree that it was rushed to capitalize on Shane’s recent success.
Also a lot of comedians have gotten big doing podcasts and have gotten their first specials on Netflix, and several of them are on this show.
The issue is that just like many great athletes make terrible coaches, many talented...
re: Incendies (2010)

She murdered one of the Muslim leaders, not the guy who trained the rapists but the one who was more senior. She was tutoring his grandson and won their confidence.
That part isn’t well directed because it feels like it’s missing a scene tbh.
One of the ideas that is lightly hinted at is that...
re: Who here has seen a comedy hypnotist show?
Posted by Keys Open Doors on 5/27/24 at 1:56 am
The one I saw was in college, and I don’t think any were plants.
The thing I noticed though was that he called 20-25 people on stage but he gradually dismissed about half of them.
I suspect these comedy hypnotists can tell who is susceptible within a minute, and they only keep the ones who are...
re: Incendies (2010)
Posted by Keys Open Doors on 5/26/24 at 9:22 pm
The woman who is the mother of the main characters was a Christian, and the prison rapists (trying to keep it relatively spoiler free) were Muslim and were specifically trained by a Muslim leader who is still alive.
No one from that era gets a particularly good edit, except for the uncle who writ...
re: Why do you hate the Celtics?
Posted by Keys Open Doors on 5/25/24 at 10:56 pm
I don’t care about the Celtics one way or the other, but I suspect it is either due to rivalries from 1979 to 1992 or the KG/Pierce teams.
I can’t imagine anyone hates Ray Allen and I don’t think many people hate Jayson Tatum or Jaylen Brown (and certainly not Jrue on this board)....
