I can only imagine the massive amount of fatties sweating their insides out, while trying to load some clothes into JR’s tiny arse dorm room in 15 minutes.

Hilarity.

More than the physical act of moving in, it's about the parents getting to see where the child is moving to, meeting his/her dormmates/roommate, getting to chat with the people in charge of the dorm to make themselves feel better.

My parents loved all of that, and especially going to school far from home, without a great support system (yet), I appreciated that they weren't just throwing me to the wolves.

I helped moved my godson in this morning. His dad had hernia surgery 3 weeks ago, and I told him to sit back and keep your nuts healthy lol.

I was prepared to go to war. Cargo shorts were deployed and I was rolling off of 800mg of caffeine.

We were completely done within a hour, with about 750mg left to burn off……..

The MILFS and Ex-Sorrority moms were in full force.

My parents hated me. I’m not even sure they came down until they came to a game my second year.

That’s good to hear. I was lucky enough to move in a week early because of BIOS but actual move in day was always a disaster back in the day.

Ours was pretty smooth today. He didn’t move into a dorm though. We moved him into the Cottages off Ben Hurr, couldn’t have gone better

Last year we moved him into North Hall which was absolute cluster frick

Took us about 40 minutes in line before we were directed to the dorm. Unloaded quickly but had to wait on the one elevator. Otherwise - no complaints and much better than when I moved myself in 1997.

God I’m jealous of any 18 year old kid moving into LSU. My nephew is one of them. He doesn’t even understand how lucky he is.

Moving in Cedar was not bad at all. It’s all about knowing the little tricks to get in & out fast. Avoid the lines!

While I realize that, the guy who took my tag said I had 15 minutes to unload AND get it to the room. I chuckled and said 'sure thing GySgt.'

Or a chance for a dad to talk to his son about college experiences and turn the page into adulthood together

You’re supposed to do all that at the coming of age party.

Yeah it's scary. One of my sons friends told him one of the professors is a drag queen

Are you a grown woman referring to freshman girls as primo talent? Yeah, not a better look.

I have to agree it was a breeze both times that I moved my girls into Miller.
