Have you ever in your life thought, “This jambalaya has too much damn meat in it!”

My know it all (know nothing) brother-in-law thinks I’m putting too much meat in the jambalaya.
Is this possibly a thing and I’m just too much of a carnivore?

There is only too much rice, not too much meat.

Every time my husband makes it. I don’t eat pork.

It really depends on the amount of tomatoes. If you skimp on tomatoes add more meat.

Your brother in law is a pussy.

Is it 100% meat?
If not, you are not putting too much in.

There can be too much meat, but that’s not a bad thing.

But do you pork your husband?

YOU DO NOT NEED THAT KIND OF NEGATIVITY IN YOUR LIFE. TELL YOUR BIL TO GO BLOW A DONKEY.

What a clown. The probably is almost always not enough meat if anything

I’ve heard that before. Always from women though.

There can definitely be too much sausage in jambalaya. Not so much on shrimp though.

What's your meat in lbs to cup of rice ratio?

In the words of Cowboy Kent Rollins... "I don't want people going huntin' for no meat"
Translates to, you should have to try really hard to get a scoop with no meat
I live by this with a lot of food. Jambalaya, white beans (ham hock), gumbo, beef stew
Does your BIL ask for less meat with his steak too?

My wife tells me this every time (insert joke). She can’t understand why I have so much meat and I can’t understand why she can’t just not eat more rice than meat.
There may be a limit on meat though as you need to have enough room for the water to get to the rice.
A ratio of 3 pounds of meat (2 meat, 1 sausage) to 1 pound of rice is never too much. Anything less is too little.

There is no such thing as too much meat. Same with gumbo.
