Although, I am very curious if he can beat Trump's 1st term, which has the record for expansion of that deficit. If Biden's 1st term doesn't beat Trump's, then Trump's record will stand for a while
Let's not pretend like all of DC wasn't for the shutdowns and the spending. It's on all of their hands

I said Trump wasn’t trying to force states to shut down.
He's on the record criticizing Kemp, Desantis, etc. for re-opening. Also, his admin constantly was criticizing areas that refused to lock down to their preference level.

How does congress passing bills to float states that are tripping over themselves to shut down counter my objectively correct statement?
Congress passed bills after negotiating with the Trump admin. What was Trump's criticism of the last spending bill? They didn't spend enough

President Donald Trump threatened on Tuesday to not sign an $892 billion coronavirus relief bill that includes desperately needed money for individual Americans, saying it should be amended to increase the amount in the stimulus checks.

Yes, as I said earlier, Trump's admin was all-in on shutdowns

The only smart thing you said in this thread.

Blue ribbon for the dumbest thing you said in this thread, which is impressive in and of itself, because you've said a plethora of stupid shite ITT.

Whatever increase in prices for the "volatile items" y'all think will make us look worse will likely be worse in the countries listed, too.

the record
Not fair. The record is obviously biased against Trump.

Ha, don't blame SFP for that, it was me. But, I really would like to know how quickly the spending hits our economy. Didn't BBB/Inflation Reduction Act get passed 2021/2022? I think we are still getting worked by the COVID money sloshing around, but I don't know. This is where I don't really think it matters who is in office. Nobody is going to cut spending to the point it makes a difference.

Yeah and their spending was over like 10 years. The totals are HUGE but that money hasn't hit the economy yet.
Covid printing was direct injection.

Why would food and energy be volatile?
They label them volatile to justify excluding them from the inflation rate. I can only guess, but if food and fuel were included in the inflation rate, it would be somewhere well north of 10%, maybe as high as 20%. It’s anyone’s guess though because they’re hiding the data, or making it really difficult to find.
How does this post get downvotes? How many commies are on this board?

Leftists loathe when their political narrative is challenged. Deep down inside, they know their narrative is divorced from reality and when they’re confronted with anything that reminds them of this fact, they lash out.

Its factually wrong.
I posted a link at the bottom of the last page showing that if you include food and energy, the inflation rate is lower year over year.

The increase of food happened awhile ago.

4%? I wonder what products are holding that BS number down. Cuz most everything I see and purchase is up way more than 4%. Such a skewed way to look at what’s the actual burden on everyday life.

USA is in pretty good shape! Inflation coming down and much faster than most other countries.
Love to see it!
Your graph does not tell the whole story. Inflation kicked up again in August and that is why the Fed is still signaling they are going to raise rates again, probably November. Historical raising of intrest rates over the past 20 months has not getting core cpi under control. The S&P has lost at least 2.5% in the last month as people pull money out of the US for European markets. You have a congress that just keep printing money and organized crime taking advantage shoplifting. All these factors will continue to devalue the dollar and drive up prices. This is what socialist countries look like, ala Europe. This is why their inflation and prices are traditionally higher than America. The Biden administration has been an complete and total disaster for the average American.

Here, let me try and translate this into progressive twitter speak so you'll understand.
Trump *clap* didn't *clap* force *clap* states *clap* to *clap* shutdown *clap*.

The thing you seem to be missing is when people are criticizing Biden, it's also a criticism of 90% of his base because they supported the checks/lockdowns/firings.
You keep saying "but Trump, but Trump!" Around half of conservatives were against all of that, and would have supported Trump if he stood against it.
Trump fricked up, but the conservative approach was still the correct approach. The conservative approach wouldn't have led to these economic issues.
