I was suggesting amphetamine salts and cocaine. To be fair, I do know some fat fricks addicted to both.

People should be careful of what they are putting in their bodies with these miracle drugs. I know someone who got on this drug and lost weight but it has caused everything else about her health to go all out of control. The prescribing doctor has taken her off and still can’t normalize things.
If someone weighs 400lbs then any potential health problems from the drug are less of a concern than the person being morbidly obese.
If someone weighs 180lbs and is taking the drug to lose weight then you have to really take any potential health side affects into consideration.

It would put me at 135 lbs at a height of 6’1”. That’s pretty thin for someone who is in the gym 4-5 times per week.
I was 160 lbs when I graduated high school.

Isn't that what it does though? Just make you not want to eat?
Zantac turned out to be a carcinogen. A heartburn OTC There are a million things we're fed daily that slowly kill us. But I'm sure Mounjaro isn't one of them...

Fats will always be fat and now they can’t shite either and have cancer
If they die, they die

i am all for these medicines but only if the person is willing to make very very specific lifestyle changes as in diet and lifting weights and step counts and is willing to take a long term approach on this and stay on minimum dosing as long as possible.
But they won’t so as soon as they go off of it, the weight will come piling back. Sure it’s easy to make healthy choices when you don’t have much of an appetite. But when they go off of it, the appetite returns and the bad choices return. I predict that many will go off of it once they lose the weight but then the weight will come back and they’ll go back on it, rinse and repeat, yo yo.

apparently for a lot of people it is hard.
i dont have a problem doing it but apparently once you factor in emotions and dopamine some people have a very hard time sticking to it. as evidence by our obesity rate
why does this trigger so many people? why do yall get so mad that someone may take something to lose weight?

FDA approval doesn't mean it's going to be covered by insurance companies. Tirzepatide and Semaglutide work well, so well, insurance won't cover it because they're expensive af for everyone involved.

so i'm more optimistic about people than you are what if 50% of the ones who take this adopt a healthier lifestyle going forward so their life improves?
wouldn't that still be a win for the drug if it helps some percentage of those who use it permanently?
Obese people have a hard time 'getting started' because the risk of injury is so high when you're (a) not active and (b) extremely overweight. if given a head start by removing one of those barriers, i feel surely there will be those who see it as a chance to change their lives and adopt a new lifestyle.
put me on Team 777tiger.

Nothing in life is free. I'd be scared shitless of a pill that makes me lose weight without a corresponding lack of appetite.
Mounjaro definitely messes with appetite. My mom was on it for diabetes when she shouldn't have been (nurse jumped the damn gun). She was nauseous four or five days of the week, and couldn't eat much if she wanted to. It slows down digestion just like the others to the point that a person has to come off it if scheduled for surgery.
The stuff was already expensive as hell before it got approved for the fatties.
ETA: It was a once weekly shot for her at the lowest dose.

I have lost 28 pounds (~11 %) on Ozempic. I still get hungry. It will not help you if you eat pasta, pizza, and ice cream four days a week though. It has helped me with fasting and making healthier food choices like Salmon, green vegetables, nuts and berries for snacks. I also eat lean chicken and salads.

Because no one wants to lose weight the natural way. People want shortcuts. And in the case of these weight-loss drugs, some of them can have negative effects on the heart, especially stimulants.
These weight-loss drugs are short term solutions and aren't sustainable for long-term weight maintenance. People need to man up and accept that if they want to lose weight and not have any side effects, they're going to have to get off their arse and put in the work. It's that simple.
