Oh cool, did Liberty schedule two SEC teams out of conference, and beat them both?

First game of the season and our D sucks. We're not a measuring stick.

Plus that team had Travis. Current FSU....does not.

I'd take our chances against the abortion of an offense they trotted out tonight, for sure.

Had Texas not beat Bama early in the season I doubt they would be considered for the playoffs.

College Football News projecting Washington vs Texas in the Sugar and Michigan vs Alabama in the Rose with FSU facing UGA in the Orange. This is what I suspect will happen also because Bama has a perpetual horseshoe up its arse…

Oh the Big12 is bad, too. OU is definitely a few tiers above UL, though.

Every time some team wins a shitty conference they've made the same argument. It was stupid when it was Boise State/Hawaii/TCU and it's stupid with FSU in the shitty ACC.

I mean, they beat us pretty good. We don't suck. I hate it, but its true.

FSU

55th in the nation in SOS.

The eye test.

Jordan Travis is not magically reappearing in January.

Nice story. Good luck in your bowl game.

USC, Utah, UCLA, Oregon State, and Wazzu all ended up being worse than last year.

The conference wasn't as good as anticipated. Certainly not as strong as last year.

Pac 12 is not that strong. Arizona lost to Mississippi St and Notre Dame played Stanford and USC and trounced them without breaking a sweat. Oregon beat Texas Tech by 8 points. The Pac 12 was living off the publicity of Colorado beating TCU early and milked that for all it was worth till time proved that fraudulent. What other non-conference win of note does a Pac 12 team have?

Pass defense is only a rumor in the Pac 12. 5 of the bottom 10 teams in college football(130 schools) for passing yards allowed reside in the Pac 12.

129. Stanford
127. Cal
124. Colorado
122. Washington
121. Arizona St.
116. USC

We know LSU's pass defense is bad, but it's still better than half the teams in the Pac 12. LSU is 104.

Did he say his team isn't one of the best 4?

If not, that's not "like it is"

But they did and in impressive fashion.

If Bama doesn’t pull off a miracle against lowly Auburn last week, they aren’t in thdd Ed discussion, but they did.

You can’t dismiss facts.

Until the game is played, no one knows who will win.

Does the bama who beat Ga show up or the bama who needed a miracle at Auburn show up.

Could bama beat OSU or Ga again?

Too many what ifs to assume who is the best four without playing the game.

Exactly people want to look at a 1 game day result instead of a whole season of results. FSU belongs in and Alabama lost to Texas giving the horns the final spot. If not it’s rigged more than the 2020 election

At this point, I hope they put FSU in. When they get smoked, we can revisit this conversation. FSU has looked like trash since losing their starting QB. They're not the same team. But hey, by all means put them in. I guarantee the ratings will be low after what fans just sat through.

Whether they get smoked or not, they earned it on the field. If bama gets smoked by Michigan will you be saying the same thing? 3 of the four playoff teams are going to lose.

Also, might as well cut all teams to 22 players and if a player gets injured the team is out of the NC hunt.

Football is a team sport and backups deserve the opportunity to play, compete, and win.

55 yards passing by QB3 won't get it done against ANY playoff contender.

So LSU didn't belong in the BCS championship in 2011 after passing for 80 yards against Georgia in the SECCG?

This arguement doesn’t hold water as Cordellle Jones and Ohio State say hi. With your line of thinking they should have never been allowed in the playoffs back in 2014. However, not only were they let in with a 3rd string QB starting, but they beat the mighty Alabama Crimson Tide on the way to the title.

Sure Jones may have caught lightening in a bottle, but he DID. This QB from FSU may have had a horrible game, but who is to say he won’t catch lightening in a bottle also.
