Can someone explain to me why there are divisions within each level? Always wondered since they air all over Louisiana as well.

Has to do with number of students in a given school. It is confusing because 2 teams in the same district can be in different divisions, i.e. Duncanville and Desoto are in the same district but different divisions.

And to add to that, the teams they played today, North Shore and Summer Creek are also in the same district.

Lots of lopsided scores in these championships but man there are some really elite players.

Wish I could see a box score for this game. Summer Creek has 24 total yards.

I think that’s only 6A. In each district 4 teams make the playoffs the 2 with the largest enrollment are Division 1 and the other 2 are division 2.

Mostly because they don’t want the playoffs to be 7 rounds and go into Christmas week. This is just for football, every other sport has 7 rounds and 1 champ per division

watched NS vs Austin Westlake

NS not nearly as explosive as they have been, Duncanville should handle them again

Dville is a machine, so much talent and so well coached

Wild to navigate all those rounds of playoffs and potential landmine matchups and run into buzzsaws like so many have over the weekend and be completely outclassed

So it’s relative to who else makes it? So a school can be in division 1 one year and 2 the next? If they’re in the bottom vs top half of whatever 4 teams make the playoffs from the division?
