All the molded ones are the same. There’s not really a “best.”

Legend has it there was a guy who sold ice chest on here by special order that were cheap and legit, igloo prices and yeti quality. He was shut down and almost went to TD purgatory.
If you go to the foot of the old Mississippi River bridge at the base of the bridge where the train tracks cross tbere is a small shack where a troll lives, knock 8 times and ask for “no-color”
The troll may or may not give you directions on how to procure said ice chest, just know you may possibly lose posting rights forever.
If you don’t want to do that get and rtic or even the igloo lifetime or whatever it’s called they are priced right and last just as long as anything
Merry Christmas

Those Magellan pro are pretty awesome. RTIC constantly puts out codes for discounts, just don’t buy any of their soft sided coolers now. They changed the design and the zippers are shite.

Look into the Dewalt ice chests. They are made by the same company that made the older model Magellans for Academy. Academy has a new supplier/maker for their current lineup.

I bought a Lifetime 65 qt on wheels at Tractor Supply last summer. It's lighter than the yeti or rtic. $200 and I think it's American made. I fit 3 quartered up ~100 lb does in it a couple weeks ago.

Yup, go for something lighter unless you plan on strapping it down and not moving it.

I’ve got several sizes of the Igloo Marine Series ice chests from 25-165 qt. Held that Buccee’s ice that isn’t the best in the world for a week in moderate South TX temperatures with minimal losses, and the big one held two quartered bucks, a doe and a decent sized Javelina with room to spare.

I stand on the lids on my boat and they are just so much lighter than any of the Rotomolded ones. Replace any plastic hinges with stainless, or better yet, Gorilla hinges.

If you spend $500 on a yeti ice chest, it'll only hold ice a day or 2 more than a $50 igloo. $450 buys a shite load of ice at the vending machine.

I like Canyon, lifetime warranty, clamps are easy to work, straight sides makes it easy to pack.

Maybe consider getting an ICECO electric ice chest. I have one and love it. They aren’t cheap but worth the money if you use it a lot.

I cut 3 pieces of heavy duty tow strap about 3 inches long, burned the cut ends to keep them from fraying, and used those for hinges when the originals broke. I used the original screws and added a small washer to each screw. That was probably 10 years ago and they're holding up strong.

Just a thought if you're into redneck engineering.

I believe in the you only cry once doctrine. Buy yourself a Yeti and tell the poors to shut the front door.
