Why is it not a strike when the batter runs out of the batter’s box to wards the pitcher in effort to hit the ball?

Two things would make me like softball much more than I currently do.
1. Slap hitting eliminated.
2. Stop the constant chants it’s dumb.

shite, those are the 2 things that make softball more likeable and fun than baseball.

Chants suck but slap hitting is pretty good.
It's time for softball to move the fences back a little bit, though.

Same could be said for a drag bunt but an effort has to be made to actually bunt the ball.

So if they show drag bunt first time and cause the infielders to crash hard, it makes it a lot easier to power slap a ball through the infield next pitch
