I understand but admitting truths is not a fun thread.

Your "solution" seems like a lot of hassle just to save 18 bucks a year.

Dont ride through Port Vincent. They sit in parking lots with spotting scopes looking for expired tags.

Is brake tag a regional term? I have never used those words.

Don’t know why Louisiana can’t just add $10 a year to your registration. They would bring in more money because every registered vehicle would have this added to registration. Far less people using temporary tags than ones that have expired inspection stickers. Last year, I went to get one for my truck, they were out of the month stickers because they never received them from the state. Had to wait till the following month before my local place got current stickers.

State law says you have to register your vehicle in LA within so many days of moving here.

So there is that.

This. Add $50/year and fix the dang roads and stop playing games. Stickers are for kids and morons (don't look at my toolbox, cooler, or deep freezer!).

A coworker of mine drives an SUV with a 2018 inspection sticker on it. If you have his kind of luck, you're good-to-go...

I own property in Montana and registered my new truck there. We’ll see how it turns out.
