It’s not some fluke that he put together a CWS-winning team. He has a track record of success, and it makes sense that it would escalate to winning a title at a program like LSU.

That said, based on his press conference responses and his decisions, he clearly is at a loss with this team. I think that the pre-SEC slate was fools gold that elevated the stock of some of the position groups (middle infield and overall pitching). Instead, those are probably the weaknesses of the team, and there is not a clear answer to the problem.
