Tell me a time that a team has waited when it was clear they needed to move a player and the deals got better? I believe it has happened a few times, but most of the time that teams kick the can down the road hoping to rehab value or find a new opportunity at best they get the same value they could have gotten initially, but most of the time the deals get worse, like it did with Lonzo.
I hope this report is true because you can't be wishy washy on this issue or it will screw the team. Decisive action is needed, even if it's not perfect, and this looks decisive.

The Raptors with Og and Siakam comes to mind. Masai waited too long and they got mediocre returns dealing them during the final season of their contracts.
