Bull crap. If stores are selling this to kids, then go after those stores. Quit punishing everyone because you are too laxy to actually enforce your own laws.

Glad I don't live in a freedom hating shite hole like Louisiana.

I don't use THC but think people should be able to without fear of the law. This is supposed to be protection for minors but it is really their moral code be imposed on others. This legislative session has been a conservative disaster for this state. Wait until homeowners insurance starts dropping tens of thousands this year with the BS Temple and his conservative goons just passed.

Tax reform? Fiscal restructuring of state government? Decentralizing government to give more control and responsibility to local government for their needs?
Sometimes I think me and you are the only two people around here who care about such things.

Rad Dad on Government street next to Barracuda tacos has an excellent selection of Cypress Hemp D9 gummies that come with live terpines & local THC seltzer that also do the job.
I recommend that local place to anyone looking for something quality & also to help a local small business before our politicians close them down.

Vice taxes are 100% re-allocated to school system. Having better schools is the long term strategy for improving the state.
You remember when they did this with gambling? And immediately cut general fund spending on education by the same amount resulting in no actual additional money going to education?

The House is 73 R to 32 D. This is almost certainly going to pass. The one saving grace is that it didn’t get sent to the House floor today for a vote. Something odd happened instead. It was referred to the Legislative Bureau: LINK
Which means someone thinks this bill would conflict with other existing legislation. Which means there is room for back room wheeling and dealing to amend it to be less terrible.
We’ll see.

You know what else is poison to kids?
Alcohol
Cigarettes
Cigars
Pipe Tobacco
Pouch Tobacco
But we have laws in place to not sell them to kids. And if they do, they get in trouble.
Go to Jazz Fest, or a Saints game, or an LSU game. ATC agents setting up stings all over the place trying to bust people for selling a beer to a 20 year old.
Yet, we can't figure out a way to stop a few corner stores from selling gummies to a kid?
By the way, "in the know", which alcohol distributor do you work for?

Weird how some THCa places will ship to Louisiana. But many others still will not. And not sure why??

I remember just a few months ago, when all the problems in this state were blamed on JBE and not having a GOP supermajority.
Now, we have a republican as governor and a GOP supermajority, so how's it going fixing all the problems we have?
I tried telling y'all, these people were clowns and only cared about protecting their power and their donors.

How fricking stupid or dishonest are you? It’s 21 to buy everywhere and under the same or stricter standards as alcohol or cigarettes.
POS.

What a fricking moronic statement. Should we ban porn, alcohol, tobacco, etc? Because that stuff is poison for kids.
THC/CBD provides health benefits. The things mentioned above do not.

My suspicion is even these morons in office understand this is a major industry in LA now and they don’t want to completely torch it.
Maybe I’m optimistic, but hopefully they can work out a compromise.
