Just saw where the attorney Scheffler hired is Steve Romines.

Romines is pretty well known here and I imagine he is well connected with ownership at Valhalla since it's all local guys now.
ETA: Honestly, he might be a member himself, a lot of the big money attorneys and businessmen here are. Also helps he loves to stick it to LMPD. He has a reputation for holding them accountable.
