Are auto insurance rates rising more than car prices????

Because when car prices go up 40% the price to insure them would also rise by 40%.

Honest question if anyone knows the answer.

Teachers unions funded bunk studies to fight school vouchers? I'm shocked.

The laws put into effect were premised on lies. Unsupported, bald faced lies.

Oh, I expect they were courteous enough to let you and I pay for the bunk studies.

What if I told you it was neither, it was vulture PI lawyers and the unscrupulous doctors with whom they are in bed? There was a debate on the Senate floor last night that awarding damages based on ACTUAL medical costs and not on billed charges was somehow a "windfall" for the defendant. That's just intellectually bankrupt. BS like that is a huge part of why our rates are what they are.

Wrong! That affects comp & collision rates, but liabilty rates are driven by medical and personal injury costs.

Furthermore, very few accidents result in total loss. The more accurate input cost would be costs @ paint and body shops. "You have the right to pick the most expensive paint and body shop!"

So does Florida. The Southern half of the state is (I suspect) turning us into ambulance chaser hell.

We’re experiencing Bobby Jindal’s third term. He’s talking about defunding public schools to pay for more ineffective school vouchers that have already proven to cost taxpayers more and produce dumber students in Louisiana.

Defunding public schools to stop this woke indoctrination of our kids would be fabulous. Yeah let's send more money to the gubment schools so they can be taught to hate white people, that men are women and women are men, to worship gubment, fossil fuels are evil, meat is evil and to be guilty of causing the hoax of climate change.

Yeah let's send more money to the indoctrination centers.

No, but one of the primary drivers of increased premiums the last few years has been the marked increase in vehicle prices (as well as costs of repair). Also, because of nagging supply chain issues for parts, repairs take longer which means people are in rentals for longer.

On the bodily injury side, puffed up "future" medical expense claims are blowing the doors off.

Do you have actual evidence that proves this? Looks like you’re making things up again.

When one "personal injury attorney" has money to throw away on roughly a thousand bill boards and buy college athletes for LSU - almost entirely off of auto accident settlements, the problem isnt the insurance companies. In 2020 Louisiana personal injury lawyers spent 12MM on legal advertising.... in ONE QUARTER.

Why do I get sued for a fender bender with minimal damage and no actual injury? Because the ins Co will settle is why. Atty and insurance fricks are different side to the same coin. What a fkn racket.

I doubt this. I'd like to believe it because I am anti-voucher.
